Valencia

As we left Granada we passed through more mountainous countryside than we had seen before. Apparently Spain is the second most mountainous country in Europe. ( Switzerland is first)

Our bus trip took us toward the coast then along the Costa del Sol... Spains answer to the Australian Sunshine coast and the beach resort of choice for most UK package tours. We were lucky enough to stop in Benidorm. A welcome break for most of us but not so for one young lad who had his wallet taken from the bus.

This delayed our onward progress while the police were called, but eventually we moved on again towards Valencia.

I was able to use my spanish to request "una habitation doble con vistas del mar." I felt very pleased with myself as we took in this sunset from our room. It was already late. How can it be so tiring just sitting on a bus all day?
