Day 2; MADRID

¿Remember the pillar from last night´s promenade picture? It is the same one you see here the next morning. Some young football fans (who had obviously been up all night) gave a demonstration of why this is the national game... well next after bull fighting. Two beer cans marked each end of the ¨field¨and we respectfully walked around on our way to the
Palacio Real- Royal Palace.
We were there very early and when we left this was the queue.

The Royal family still live in and use the palace and sadly no photos allowed inside. IT WAS SPECTACULAR!
There was also an armoury full of suits of armour, swords, horses in armour, children in armour and assorted war stuff. Again sadly no photos inside.

Next stop was the temple of Nebod, gifted by the Egyptians to Spain in exchange for their help in saving of archeoloical treasures from flooding when the Aswan Dam was built.
Can you spot me trying to do ¨Walk like an egyptian¨?

Madrid is such a beautiful city that every corner presents a ¨must take¨photo opportunity.
